Another Patriots star is on his way out of New England as the NFL team confirmed it had waived three-time Super Bowl-winning kicker Stephen Gostkowski.
Gostkowski, 36, is the Patriots’ all-time leading scorer with 1,775 career points and 374 field goals in 14 seasons with the Pats.

Gostkowski’s 87.4 percent field goal accuracy rate is the highest in Patriots history and fifth in NFL history.
But Gostkowski was limited to four games because of a hip injury that required surgery last October.
He was the second-longest tenured member of the Patriots after superstar quarterback Tom Brady, who signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week.
New England will save about $3 million in salary cap space by releasing him.
