As of Wednesday, May 6, the Wisconsin Badgers suffered a slight fall in Rivals’ industry team recruiting rankings.
Even though Luke Fickell got off to a red-hot start this month, it wasn’t enough to move up the ladder.
Currently, Wisconsin is ranked No. 22 in the top 25. To put things into perspective, their 89.033 score is up from the month prior (89.032), but they still fell from No. 21 to No. 22.
It’s not the end of the world, far from it, but goes to show how competitive the modern era of college football is. NIL means everything and if Wisconsin can’t get back on track, there’s no chance they’ll be able to compete with the schools at the top of this list.
For reference, eight of the 21 teams ranked ahead of the Badgers are all in the Big Ten.
Wisconsin’s recruiting class is sitting at 12 commitments. Of those 12, all but four of those are in-state players.
