The Green Bay Packers are moving on up.
Their thrilling 28-21 win over the Chicago Bears on Dec. 7 at Lambeau Field not only propelled them into first place in the NFC North but also into the No. 2 seed in the conference standings.
The Packers (9-3-1), who entered the game as the sixth seed, take a four-game winning streak into their next contest against the Denver Broncos.
Four games remain in the regular season so expect more movement in a crowded NFC.
Green Bay’s victory over their longest rival also knocked the Bears down in the standings. Chicago, which dropped to 9-4, had entered the game as the top seed in the NFC and in first in the division. But the loss pushed Ben Johnson’s team out of both spots.
