The Wisconsin Badgers are just days away from kicking off their 2025 football season. With Saturday’s Week 0 schedule in the books, attention can now fully turn to the Week 1 slate.
Wisconsin and Miami (Ohio) will be one of the weekend’s notable early-kickoff matchups. The game headlines a crowded Thursday night schedule, which also includes Nebraska at Cincinnati, Ohio at Rutgers and Buffalo at Minnesota. That early slate precedes what should be an action-packed Saturday, headlined by No. 1 Texas at No. 3 Ohio State
The Badgers will look for a stronger start against the RedHawks than they experienced to open the 2023 and 2024 seasons against Buffalo and Western Michigan, respectively. Luke Fickell’s team enters 2025 needing to make a statement. While the overall schedule is arguably the toughest in the nation, there’s no reason the team shouldn’t notch a dominant Week 1 win.
