Top HS sports performers in Oshkosh, Fond du Lac from Jan. 26 – Feb. 1

The winter sports season has entered February and local athletes have found their stride.

Here are the top prep performers from Jan. 26 – Feb. 1 in the Oshkosh and Fond du Lac area.

Every week, the number of top performers per sport can change, and the list just includes standout performances that deserve recognition. One more standard that is set is that there’s no more than one athlete chosen per team, per sport.

Boys Basketball

Carter Hess, Berlin: Hess had 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a steal in a win over Weyauwega-Fremont.

Brody Schaffer, Winneconne: In a win over Shawano, Schaffer had 27 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Gannan Schwartz, Winnebago Lutheran: Schwartz finished with 33 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in a loss to Watertown Luther Prep.

Broede Collien, Oakfield: In a win over Wayland Academy, Collien had 30 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Ben Baker, St. Mary’s Springs: Baker had a double-double with 19 points, 10 blocks, seven assists, five steals and two rebounds in a win over North Fond du Lac.

Cash Farrell, Laconia: In a win over Markesan, Farrell had 22 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals.

Jake Broeske, Lomira: Broeske had 20 points, eight rebounds, one steal and a block in a win over Oakfield.

Bryce Ott, Oshkosh North: Ott finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three assists in a win over Hortonville.

Mario Romo, North Fond du Lac: Romo had 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks.

Trenton Schladweiler, Campbellsport: In a win over Campbellsport, Schladweiler had 21 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Byron Jones, Fond du Lac: In a win over Kimberly, Jones had 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks.

Tate Drinkwine, Mayville: Drinkwine had 18 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in a win over Omro.

Girls Basketball

Josie Christian, Lomira: In a win over Campbellsport, Christian had 30 points, 11 steals, seven rebounds and six assists.

Lizzie Fink, Valley Christian: Fink finished with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in a win over Wayland Academy.

Harper Neace, Winneconne: In a one-point loss to Shawano, Neace finished with 21 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.

Jill Pinno, Winnebago Lutheran: Pinno had 19 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks and an assist in a loss to Fox Valley Lutheran.

Naomi Liabwill, Lourdes Academy: In a win over Princeton/Green Lake, Liabwill had 19 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal and a block.

Kiley Beer, Central Wisconsin Christian: Beer stuffed the stat sheet in a win over Cambria-Friesland, as she finished with 14 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists, six blocks, and two steals.

Ava Koch, Omro: Koch had 38 points, 13 rebounds, four steals, two blocks and an assist in a win over Mayville.

Awut Alic, Oshkosh North: Alic had 35 points, four rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists in a loss to Neenah.

Lakelyn Sobieski, Berlin: Sobieski had 21 points, four rebounds and an assist in a loss to Mauston.

Jenna Petrowitz, Winnebago Lutheran: Petrowitz had a double-double with 14 point,s 12 rebounds, two assists and a block in a loss to North Fond du Lac.

Hailey Rothering, Oakfield: In a loss to Wayland Academy, Rothering had 10 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and an assist.

Emma Resop, Ripon: Resop had 18 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks and a steal in a win over Wautoma.

Hockey

Parker Ziebell, Fond du Lac: In a win over Deforest, Ziebell had two goals.

Wrestling

Mason Boerner, Omro: Boener set the school record for most takedowns and reached the 300 mark.

Emerson Wissink, Campbellsport: Wissink went 5-0 at 126 at the Stark Invitational.
