Looking to cool off? Here's when Fox Cities pools, splash pads and one lake open for the season

As temperatures heat up, Fox Valley folks may be looking for a place to cool down.

Many communities offer a public pool or splash pad for residents to enjoy all summer long. Admission is offered on a daily basis or you can purchase a season pass.

Here’s our list of pools, splash pads, a lake and an aquatics facility where residents can swim, or just splash about, along with details on hours, opening dates and amenities.

Appleton

Erb Pool, 1800 N. Morrison St., open for the season on June 6. Open swim hours are 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays; 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 1 to 6 p.m. weekends.

The Olympic-sized pool is available for open and lap swimming, and has zero-depth entry with spray features, two water slides, diving boards, shade, concession stand, and more. There is a supply of lifejackets that can be borrowed for non-swimmers.

Also open for the season on June 6 is Meade Pool, 1430 E. John St. Open swim hours are 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays; 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 1 to 6 p.m. weekends.

Some pool features include a water slide, diving boards, zero-depth entry, snack bar and a sand volleyball court.

Plamann Lake, 1375 E. Broadway Drive, opens for the season on June 7. Weather permitting, the lake and concession stand will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Plamann Park boasts an inflatable water park that includes a trampoline and a climbing wall. Swimming lessons are also available.

Menasha

Jefferson Park Swimming Pool, Menasha’s outdoor swimming pool, is located at 915 Third St., and opens for the season on June 5. Open swim hours are 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays; 6 to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 1 to 6:30 p.m. weekends.

Park amenities include a water slide, zero depth entry, kids fountain, drop slide, inflatable toy area, concessions, events and games.

Neenah

The Neenah Pool, 600 S. Park Ave., will open for the 2025 season on June 7. Open swim hours are 1 to 8 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 6 p.m. weekends.

Neenah’s outdoor pool features lap lanes, a tot sand play area, sand volleyball court, drop slide, concessions, lounge chairs and more.

Neenah’s free Splash Pad is located within Washington Park, 631 W. Winneconne Ave. It is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The pad can be activated by running your hand over the motion sensor on top of the red fire hydrant and will keep going for four minutes at a time.

Little Chute

Doyle Pool, an outdoor swimming pool, is located within Doyle Park, 100 Van Buren St. It opens for the season on June 8. Open swim hours are 1 to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. weekdays; and 1 to 5:30 p.m. weekends.

There is a small children’s pool and a large pool that features diving boards and a water slide. There also is a concession stand.

Kimberly

The Sunset Beach Swimming Facility at 1010 Fulcer Ave., opens for the season on June 6. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The beach is staffed by certified lifeguards. Other amenities include sand beach with shallow water slides, a diving well with a slide, playground, shelters, diving boards and a sand volleyball court. The new splash pad is open this year and is include with daily admission.

Kaukauna

Kaukauna Municipal Pool, 607 Dodge St., opens June 9. Open swim hours will be 1 to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The pool offers two slides, lap lanes, an aqua climbing wall, concessions and more.

Kaukauna’s more-than-4,000 square foot splash pad opened on Memorial Day, and will remain open through Labor Day. It is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Its schedule includes some hours with a fee and some which are free.
