The Lions got a late touchdown, but the Packers are 1-0 after producing a two-touchdown win over the defending NFC North champions to open the season.

MICAH PARSONS SACK

The first Packers sack for Micah Parsons.

Another McManus field goal

After a short drive following the fourth down sack, Brandon McManus hit a 38-yard field goal to extend the lead to 27-6. The Packers are up 21 opinions with 4:22 to go in the season opener.

Dagger?

Devonte Wyatt sacked Jared Goff on fourth down. It could be the dagger.

Josh Jacobs touchdown after fourth down conversion

Jordan Love converted a fourth down with a quarterback sneak, and Josh Jacobs darted into the end zone from three yards out to extend the Packers to three scores at 24-6 with just under eight minutes to go. It’s closer time now. Can Micah Parsons and the Packers front get after Jared Goff and put the game away?

Gary nearly produces a safety

The Packers are torturing the Lions offensive tackle duo. Rashan Gary beat Taylor Decker for a sack that almost resulted in a safety, and Colby Wooden’s run stop on third down forced a punt.

LVN sack on third down

The Packers got a big stop when Lukas Van Ness took down Jared Goff on 3rd-and-6. The defensive front is consistently winning in obvious passing situations.

Packers stand tall in red zone again

The Lions put together another long drive to open the second half, but the Packers got the stop in the red zone. Edgerrin Cooper’s disruptive play against Jahmyr Gibbs caused a six-yard loss and the Packers got the stop on third down, forcing a field goal attempt. The Lions are 0-for-3 scoring touchdowns in the red zone so far. It’s 17-6 Packers.

Love and Parsons update

Jordan Love completed 12 of 16 passes for 167 yards and two scores across four possessions in the first half, while Micah Parsons had one pressure on third down forcing a check down and another pressure in the red zone creating a turnover. On offense, the Packers are protecting Love well and finding explosive plays. And the Packers defense is giving up only 3.8 yards per play. Excellent start. Lions ball to start the second half.

Micah Parsons pressure creates red-zone turnover

The Packers are getting instant impact from Micah Parsons, even as a part-time player. Watch as Parsons beats Penei Sewell, creating a quick throw from Jared Goff and a diving interception for Evan Williams. Red-zone takeaway. Big.

Quick strike touchdown, Love to Reed

Two plays, 65 yards, one touchdown.

One play after Jordan Love hit Romeo Doubs deep for a 48-yarder, Love connected with Jayden Reed for a 17-yard touchdown pass. Love is on fire through three drives: 10/14 for 158 yards and two touchdowns.

Lions stall in red zone, cut lead to 10-3

The Lions put together a nine-minute scoring drive, but the march stalled in the red zone and Dan Campbell settled for a short field goal. On the final third down, the Packers rushed Micah Parsons over the center and dropped eight in coverage, and Goff hurried a throw incomplete. 10-3 Packers.

Packers extend lead to 10-0

Jordan Love wasn’t able to hit Romeo Doubs on 3rd-and-4, but Brandon McManus came on and made a 34-yard field goal to extend the lead to 10-0. An explosive play from Love to Jayden Reed got the Packers in scoring range. Green Bay is 2-for-2 scoring to start the season.

Parsons pressure leads to a stop

One snap, one pressure, one stop for Micah Parsons:

Packers take 7-0 lead on Love to Kraft touchdown

Jordan Love converted three straight third downs on the opening drive, and the Packers’ first touchdown of 2025 was a 15-yard strike from Love to Tucker Kraft on 3rd-and-9. 7-0 Packers after one drive.
