Is a Survivor episode on tonight? Season 50 premiere date, buffs

Survivor 50 is getting closer.

And to continue to build the excitement for the milestone 50th season of the award-winning reality competition show, CBS will air five more classic “Survivor” episodes this week. The network kicked off the mini marathon last week.

“Survivor: David vs. Goliath,” widely regarded as one of the best seasons in the franchise’s 25-year run, kicks off the week on Monday, Feb. 16. The episode will feature “Survivor” in its true elements. Extreme weather, personal conflict, relationship building among unlikely players and an epic tribal council request.

Meanwhile, the Survivor 50 Challenge, a nationwide idol hunt which began in late January, also wraps up this week.

Clues to Wisconsin’s idol will drop on the Survivor 50 website on Feb. 18 for a location in the state. Andrea Boehlke, a Milwaukee resident and three-time “Survivor” contestant, will be with the idol at the site to greet fans. As of Feb. 16, 36 of the 50 idols – one in each state – have been claimed.

It’s all building toward the premiere of “Survivor” season 50, which filmed last summer in Fiji with 24 returning players.

Here’s what to know about the Survivor 50 start date, tonight’s episode and the Road to 50 TV schedule:

New season of Survivor 2026

The new season of “Survivor” features a record-high 24 players, all returning contestants, competing for a chance to win the title of Sole Survivor and the $1 million prize.

The season has received the title “In the Hands of the Fans” after the franchise gave fans the opportunity to vote on components of the game before the castaways began filming.

The cast did not find out the results of the fans’ responses until out on the island.

Survivor buffs

The buff colors were one of the questions that fans could vote on last spring. Buffs, which the players wear while on the island, for the three tribes are now on sale on the Paramount Plus shop website.

Buffs cost $26.95 before tax and shipping and handling. A sitewide code will save buyers 20% through this evening.

Survivor merch

Other Survivor 50 merch like T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, coffee mugs, blankets and more can also be purchased at the Paramount Plus Shop website.

Jeff Probst-themed merch is also for sale. Probst has hosted “Survivor” every season since 2000.

Survivor episode tonight

Tonight’s Road to 50 episode is from the popular “Survivor: David vs. Goliath” season, the 37th in the franchise that aired in fall 2018. The episode is titled “Jackets and Eggs” and includes season 50 contestants Angelina Keeley, Christian Hubicki and Mike White. It was the fifth episode during the season and followed a tribe swap.

Castaways first battle the elements when a second cyclone forces an evacuation and a pause to the game. And then coming off a reward challenge, contestants battle each other over the eggs won.

There’s also the formation of the “Brochachos” alliance between Goliath’s Dan Rengering and John Hennigen with “David” member Hubicki. It then ends with a memorable tribal council when Angelia Keeley asks Natalie Cole if she can have her jacket after she was voted out.

Survivor David vs Goliath

“Survivor: David vs. Goliath” featured 20 new players who were initially split up into two tribes based on world stature and inspired by the Biblical figures “David” and “Goliath.”

Nick Wilson won in a 7-3-0 vote over “The White Lotus” director Mike White and Keeley.

Wilson also appeared again on “Survivor” two years later for the 40th season featuring all winners. Wilson, previously a public defender, is now a member of Kentucky’s House of Representatives as a Republican.

Thanks to their connection to White, multiple contestants from this season have made cameos on “The White Lotus.” Pro wrestler John Hennigen, a former WWE tag team champion known to wrestling fans as John Morrison, also appeared on the season.
