Check out the annual car and truck show

The 49th annual Fond du Lac Evening Optimists Father’s Day Car & Truck Show starts at 8 a.m. June 21 at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds, 520 Fond du Lac Ave.

A variety of cars and trucks show each year, with judged classes including Antique, Street Rod, Corvette and Special Interest. Judging is participant-based, with awards announced at 2 p.m.

Attendees checking out the cars can also participate in a 50/50 raffle and grab some food, including burgers, brats and nachos.

Catch a Dock Spiders game

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders season is well underway, and an upcoming game is right on Father’s Day June 21 against the Wausau Woodchucks.

For the occasion, the first 500 fans will get a free adjustable Dock Spiders hat. The game starts at 1:05 p.m. at Herr-Baker Field, 980 E. Division St.
