The largest Big Ten tournament ever is down to its final four teams.
The five-day 2026 tournament continues with the semifinals on Saturday, March 14, at the United Center in Chicago, starting with Wisconsin (5) vs. Michigan (1), followed by Purdue (7) vs. UCLA (6).
Michigan (30-2), the reigning tournament champion, is the clear favorite. The Wolverines ran away with the Big Ten regular season title and haven’t lost to a conference team in over two months. The Wolverines now have a chance to avenge that loss when they meet Wisconsin (24-9) in the semifinal round.
The Badgers stunned Michigan on the road in early January, a victory that was the first of many signature wins for Wisconsin. If Greg Gard’s team can pull off another upset, it’ll be in the title game for a third straight year.
UCLA (23-10) and Purdue (25-8) advanced to their semifinal game by getting out to double-digit first-half leads on their way to beating higher seeded teams in Michigan State and Nebraska, respectively.
Now they’ll square off for a spot in the final. UCLA seeks its first title game appearance as a Big Ten member, and Purdue will look for its third final in the last five years and continue to move past its late-season stumbles when it lost four of the final six games.

Here are scores from the last two rounds of the tournament. The top four seeds earned triple byes into the quarterfinals, though that didn’t make much of a difference as only one of these teams – Michigan – have advanced into the semifinals. Seeds (2) Nebraska, (3) Michigan State and (4) Illinois lost their first games in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 13. Seeds 5-8 (Wisconsin, UCLA, Purdue and Ohio State) earned double byes into the third round. Those teams are a combined 7-1 in the tournament. No team that began on Tuesday, March 11, or Wednesday, March 12, in rounds 1 or two remain in the tournament.
