Dim Sum Give Some, the annual food-lover’s festival and fundraiser organized by chefs Dan Jacobs and Dan Van Rite of EsterEv and DanDan, is coming back for a seventh year with a record number of participating chefs. The event will feature chefs from Milwaukee and beyond, including some of Jacobs’ fellow “Top Chef: Wisconsin” castmates and competitors from the show he’s currently on: Food Network’s “Tournament of Champions VII.”
From noon to 3 p.m. April 19 at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St., 35 chefs from across the country will come together to showcase their talents, serve food and raise money for the Kennedy’s Disease Association.

This year’s event, presented by OpenTable, is a particularly meaningful one: 2026 marks 10 years since Jacobs was diagnosed with Kennedy’s Disease, a neuromuscular disorder similar to ALS that causes muscle atrophy and slowly deteriorates a person’s ability to swallow, speak, walk and use their hands for everyday tasks.
“It’s been a decade since my diagnosis changed everything,” Jacobs said in a news release. “I’ve learned to cook differently, move differently and live differently. Now, I want to mark this milestone by bringing Milwaukee the most star-studded lineup of chefs this event has ever had, and raise a record amount for research and awareness.”
Since the inaugural Dim Sum Give Some in 2017, the event has raised more than $120,000 for the Kennedy’s Disease Association.
Aside from some of Milwaukee’s top chefs, a slew of the country’s most respected chefs will be at the event, including ones from cities like New York, Boston, Miami, Denver, Austin, Salt Lake City, and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Tickets to this year’s event are $125 per person and are available online now on OpenTable.
