3 weekend events you don’t want to miss March 5-8 in Wisconsin Rapids

‘Four Old Broads’

The Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre will present “Four Old Broads” by Leslie Kimball at 7 p.m. March 5 and 6 and at 2 p.m. March 7 at 220 Third Ave. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. The show follows four senior women living in a retirement home, tangled up in schemes and suspicions. Father Son Game Night

The South Wood County YMCA will host Father Son Game Night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 6 at 601 W. Grand Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids. The event will feature games like Minute to Win It challenges, dodgeball and other games, as well as pizza, sweet treats and other snacks. The event will be $25 per pair for YMCA members and $30 per pair for non-members, with $10 per additional child. Guests can register online or by calling 715-818-9622. State Gymnastics Tournament

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association will host the State Gymnastics Championship March 6 and 7 at Lincoln High School, 1801 16th St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. The facility will open at 11 a.m. March 6 for spectators ahead of the competition that will start at noon. The facility will open at 9 a.m. March 7 for the competition that will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are $9 for each day and can be purchased online and redeemed on a mobile device. Children 2 years and younger do not need a ticket. For more information, visit wiaawi.org.
