3 weekend events you don’t want to miss Jan. 22-25 in Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT − The Stevens Point Journal is highlighting local events happening in the Stevens Point area. Soup Swap

The Stevens Point Area Co-op will host a Soup Swap from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at 633 Second St. in Stevens Point. People can take their signature soup for people to try potluck-style, and those attending can taste and vote for their favorite soups. The winner of the soup swap will win a $100 gift card to the Co-op, along with another prize. Guests are encouraged to take about a crock pot amount of soup, although guests don’t need to taste soup to participate in the taste test and more games at the event. Adapted Ice Skating

Midstate Independent Living Choices, Inc., will host Adapted Ice Skating from to 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at K.B. Willett Ice Arena, 1000 Minnesota Ave. in Stevens Point. This is the organization’s fifth annual free event for people of all ages and abilities and their families and caregivers. Ice skates and helmets will be available, but event organizers recommend guests take their own safety equipment. Guests can request interpreter or a Support Service Provider for deaf or blind participants at 715-957-0232 or by emailing alena@milc-inc.org. Food and beverages will be available at the event. Stretch N Sip

Point Brewery and Yoga with Renee Cathryn will host Stretch N Sip: Point Brewery at 10 a.m. Jan. 25 at 2617 Water St. in Stevens Point. The yoga class will be a slow flow class for all levels. The group can enjoy a local beverage and mingle after class ends. Tickets are $15 including class and a beverage ticket, and guests can pay by cash or Venmo.
