Who is in Texas Tech football's 2026 incoming signing class?

This story has been updated to reflect Texas Tech’s announcement of signing Reed Price, his expected arrival date and a comment from coach Joey McGuire.

Joey McGuire’s stewardship of the Texas Tech football program has had the Red Raiders making hay in the NCAA transfer portal. Texas Tech took 22 players from the portal after the 2024 season and has added 21 more this offseason, both times to national acclaim.

Last year’s haul paid off in the form of a 12-2 Big 12 champion and Orange Bowl team.

Still, no one can say the Red Raiders are just going through the motions on high-school recruiting. Tech’s 2026 class is ranked No. 13 in the country by ESPN, No. 17 by 247Sports and No. 19 by On3.

Feb. 4 is this year’s traditional February signing date, and the Red Raiders have added one more player: deep snapper Reed Price from Gilbert (Ariz.) Highland. Tech announced his signing and later said Price will be taking a two-year Mormon mission that will postpone his joining the team until 2028.

“We’re fired up to have Reed join our program,” Tech coach Joey McGuire said. “Reed was a player Coach Perry [special teams coordinator Kenny Perry] identified as one of the top long snappers in the country that will arrive in two years and add to our specialist room. We couldn’t be happier to add another Red Raider out of Highland High School in Arizona.”

The Tech staff did the heavy lifting in December with 21 signees. The group’s led by seven players who are national top-250 talents on the 247Sports composite index: edge defender LaDamion Guyton, offensive linemen Felix Ojo and Bryce Gilmore, wide receiver Chase Campbell, tight end Matt Ludwig, linebacker Kaegan Ash and cornerback S’Vioarean Martin.
