The 2026 high school sports season is around the corner in the Texas Panhandle, and volleyball matches begin on Monday, Aug. 10.
The 2026 season should be another solid year for the Amarillo area after Bushland reached the Class 3A Division I title game again in 2025. Randall reached the Class 4A Division II quarterfinals last season, falling to Eagle Mountain, who went on to win the state championship.
Following a successful campaign from a handful of teams, there are a few returning standouts to watch during the 2026 season.
With the upcoming campaign kicking off soon, the Amarillo Globe-News wants to hear who fans and local community members think is the area’s Preseason Volleyball Player of the Year.
The poll will be open from Wednesday, Aug. 5, to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, and the winner will be announced shortly after.
