Two convenience stores on busy streets shutting down in Wichita Falls

Convenience stores at two of Wichita Falls’ busiest intersections have closed or are in the process of closing.

The Stripes store at 2200 Southwest Parkway at the intersection of Kemp Boulevard was closed Monday and was in the process of being boarded up.

The Stripes at 3601 Call Field Road was open but had a notice posted on the door that the last day of business would be Oct. 9.

Wichita Appraisal District records show both stores are operated by 7-Eleven Inc. of Dallas.

Emails to the headquarters by the Times Record News were not immediately answered Monday.

7-Eleven announced in January 2024 it would acquire 204 Stripes stores in West Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

The familiar 7-Eleven brand in Wichita Falls was replaced by DK logos beginning in October 2023 when 7-Eleven and the Delek corporation reached agreement on terminating the 7-11 brand on Delek-owned stores.
