Texas A&M (9-0, 6-0 SEC) head coach Mike Elko who has already surpassed expectations just nine games into his second season at the helm, but before the Aggies’ undefeated record, Elko has thrived on the recruiting trail, landing back-to-back Top 10-ranked cycles, and is on the verge of finishing with the No. 3-ranked 2026 class.
With two home games remaining, starting with hosting South Carolina for an early Saturday afternoon matchup, Elko and his staff will host a long and talented list of 2027 prospects, headlined by two commits currently committed elsewhere, as five-star safety Bralan Womack (Auburn) and four-star edge KJ Ford (Florida) are still in the mix.
After Auburn and Florida moved on from head coaches Hugh Freeze and Billy Napier over the last two months, this has caused some chaos in the 2027 class, and while Womack is still technically locked in with the Tigers, likely waiting to see who becomes the new head coach, Texas A&M’s defensive success, especially in the secondary, has likely caught his attention.
According to Rivals insider Sam Spiegelman, 2027 four-star wide receiver Jayden Warren, who is currently committed to Houston, will also visit this weekend after visiting last month during the Aggies’ 34-17 home win over Florida on October 11.
Outside of hosting FCS Samford next weekend, this is the final chance to make headway with all three flip targets. After losing four-star edge Jordan Carter’s commitment, KJ Ford looks like the most realistic option, while Bralan Womack and Jayden Warren will require more work.
