St. Patrick’s Day is coming in full swing to San Angelo with plenty of places to find green beer and Irish cheer.
Here’s where you can celebrate the holiday (P.S. don’t forget to wear green):
Pro tip: If you’re not looking to leave the house this holiday, green beer can also be made at home. Add blue food coloring to beer to mix with the beer’s natural yellow color for a green look. Green food coloring can also achieve the same look.
St. Patrick’s Downtown Pub/Grub Crawl
Downtown San Angelo will be celebrating on Sunday, March 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at various locations.
Start at your favorite participating pub/cafe, grab a Handbill and proceed to all designated stops and receive a stamp. Upon completion of handbill stamps, turn in at your last stop to be entered into a drawing of prizes and gift certificates. There will be green beer, food and more at the spots.
Lyndale
Lyndale Senior Living is have a St. Patrick’s Day party on Tuesday, March 17 at 2:30 p.m. at 6101 Grand Ct. Road. There will be festive light bites, green cocktails, live entertainment and more. While you’re there, tour the campus and meet the residents and team members.
Sunset Mall
The Sunset Mall will host a St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt on Tuesday, March 17 from 2-5 p.m. at 4001 Sunset Drive. Stop by the event table to pick up your clue sheet and pen. Then search the mall for participating stores displaying a lucky four-leaf clover in the window. Write down the correct store names that match each clue and lastly, return your completed sheet to the event table to receive a prize while supplies last.
Venture 19
Venture 19 will have a St. Paddy’s Day celebration on Tuesday, March 17 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. at 1819 Knickerbocker Road. Wear green and get 10% off and spin the wheel to test your luck for discounts, freebies and more. There will also be snacks and refreshments.
KOA Campgrounds
There will be a scavenger hunt at the KOA Campgrounds on Tuesday, March 17 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 6699 Knickerbocker Road. There will be prizes available, and the event is suitable for all ages. For more information, call 325-949-3242.
San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts
The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will host Art Thursdays from 4-7 p.m. through March with spring and St. Patrick’s Day themes. There will be an art event Thursday, March 19. There is no age limit for the event.
