Calallen and London each had four selections on the UIL’s All-State Tournament team released on Sundya, June 7.
Wildcats seniors Coll Carroll (pitcher), Blake Quinn (first base), Aidan Flores (third base) and junior Wyatt Duke (outfield) were honored for the Class 4A Division I state finalist.
London senior Christian Olivares (catcher), juniors Aiden Salinas (shortstop) and JJ Villegas (second base) and sophomore Dax Williams (first base) were selected for the Class 3A Division I state finalist.
In softball, state champion Santa Gertrudis Academy had six selections on the Class 3A Division II team.
Lions senior catcher K’Lee Bazan was the MVP of the state championship game. Senior pitcher Lexi Ruiz, juniors Adelyn Lopez (third base), Hailey Ortega (outfield), Arabella Deleon (outfield) and freshman Cami Recio (shortstop) were also honored.
State semifinalist Calallen had two players chosen fo the Class 4A Division I team.
Senior pitcher Jordyn Thibodeaux and junior outfielder Kylie Butcher, each earned the accolade.
