A 48-year-old woman from San Angelo was pronounced dead after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash happened on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:23 a.m. at U.S. Highway 277 and Old Ballinger Highway, the DPS said in a media release.

Seth Beimer, 21, of Brady was driving a Chevrolet Silverado truck, and Lee Ann Cauley from San Angelo was driving a GMC Acadia passenger car, the DPS said.
The DPS’s preliminary investigation indicates Cauley and Beimer were traveling Southbound on U.S. Highway 277. They were approaching the intersection of Old Ballinger Highway, a designated railroad crossing.
“At the intersection, a school bus had come to a complete stop at the railroad crossing as required by State and Federal,” the DPS stated in the media release.
“(Cauley) was two vehicles behind the school bus and had come to a complete stop as well. As a result, (Beimer) failed to control speed and struck (Cauley) from behind,” the DPS said.
Beimer was not wearing a seatbelt, according to DPS. He was transported to Shannon Medical Center with minor injuries.
Cauley did have her seatbelt on, DPS said. She was pronounced deceased by Tom Green County Justice of the Peace Thomas Daniel.
Weather and road conditions were clear and dry, the media release stated.
The crash is being investigated by Texas Highway Patrol, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, the San Angelo Police Department and the San Angelo Fire Department, the DPS said.
