A Central El Paso Mexican restaurant received a failing score, and several Mexican restaurants and coffee shop scored severely low in this week’s restaurant inspections.
Inspections were conducted from April 20-24.
A passing score is 70 or higher. Establishments scoring 60 or lower face closure. An inspection conducted on a particular day may not reflect the establishment’s overall long-term condition. A perfect score is 100.
Inspections of any locations that serve or sell food to the public are conducted in the city of El Paso, Anthony, Clint, Horizon City, Socorro, Vinton and El Paso County.
Restaurants that fail inspections are given a chance to rectify violations before a reinspection.
