Amid continued housing demand across Central Texas, a new phase of homes is underway in Lariat, a 706-acre master-planned community in Liberty Hill, northwest of Austin.
Lariat’s second phase will have 579 homes from builders Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, Coventry Homes, CastleRock Communities and TriPointe Homes. Prices are expected to range from $400,000 to $1 million.
Located about 36 miles from Austin, Lariat is off Texas 29 and west of U.S. 183 in Williamson County. Lariat’s developer is Randolph Texas Development, a small, family-owned company that has created multiple residential master-planned subdivisions throughout Central Texas.
Lariat opened in October of 2021. It now has 444 completed homes, with another 91 under construction.
Both move-in ready and to-be-built homes are also available from the builders in Lariat’s first phase, among them Perry Homes, TriPointe Homes, Ashton Woods, Landsea and Chesmar.
Now, with nearly 600 new rooftops destined for its second phase, “Lariat reflects the strong momentum in Liberty Hill,” said Grant Rollo, vice president of Randolph Texas Development.
“The demand for housing is surging in Liberty Hill as families seek ‘a back-to-basics’ lifestyle,” Rollo said. “Lariat alone has welcomed 310 homeowners and is now adding 579 more home sites to keep pace.”
Phase two model homes are now open. One- and two-story floor plans range from 1,400 square feet to 4,200 square feet. Features include flexible living spaces, outdoor entertaining areas, first-floor master bedrooms and custom design options.
Construction also is complete on Lariat’s amenity center, which has a resort-style pool, splash pad and playground, along with a pavilion and event lawn that regularly hosts community concerts, farmers markets and lifestyle programming.
Other Lariat amenities include miles of community trails, a dock, fishing pond, sports court and enclosed dog park.
A new elementary school also is under construction in the area.
