Former Texas A&M wide receiver Jahdae Walker came up big for the Chicago Bears with under a second left in the game, scoring his first NFL touchdown to help push the game into overtime.
The first‑year WR went undrafted in the 2025 draft after a solid career at A&M, where he recorded 64 catches for 935 yards and four touchdowns. He showed enough in the preseason to earn a spot on the roster and has put in the work every day.
To this point in the season, Walker had not logged a catch in the regular season, so with the game on the line on 4th‑and‑four, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams found Walker in the back corner of the end zone for the game‑tying touchdown.
His first NFL catch paid big dividends as the Bears were able to win the game in overtime, giving them the outright lead in the NFC North at 11‑4. When asked about the play after the game, Walker had this to say:
“They always tell me be ready, you are one play away from 50 snaps. I just try to be ready and control what I can control.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Jahdae Walker touchdown without the famous glide celebration.
