Because of the threat of stormy weather on Friday, the ceremony to dedicate the Eddie Hill RC Airpark will be rescheduled, the city said in a media release.
The ceremony had been set to coincide with Hill’s 90th birthday.
The city said in a media notice on Wednesday a new date will be announced later.
Formerly known as the Wichita Falls RC Airpark, the facility’s new name was approved by the City Council in December to recognize Hill’s outstanding achievements in motorsports and his lifelong contributions to Wichita Falls, the city said in an earlier media release.
