1. West Plains (4-1)
Last week: No. 1; L, 41-35 (OT) at Argyle Liberty Christian
This week: vs Canyon (4-1)
A close loss to the defending TAPPS state champion, and five-star recruit Cooper Witten, isn’t enough to drop the Wolves out of the top spot.
2. West Texas (5-0)
Last week: No. 3; Open week
This week: at Highland Park (2-3)
Coming out of an open week, the Comanches begin district play on the road, where Jeff Smith’s team will look to continue its impressive start to the 2025 campaign.
3. Panhandle (4-1)
Last week: No. 4; Open week
This week: vs Sanford-Fritch (3-2)
Like West Texas, the Panthers start district competition fresh off an open week while a Week 8 matchup with the Comanches looms.
4. Gruver (5-1)
Last week: No. 5; W, 54-6 at River Road
This week: at Stratford (4-2)
Since losing to West Texas by eight on the road in Week 3, the Greyhounds have outscored their past three opponents 164-12. Gruver begins district play on the road in Week 7.
5. Canadian (5-1)
Last week: No. 2; L, 52-20 at Shallowater
This week: Open week
The Wildcats dropped their first game of the season on the road in Week 6, and will have an open week to regroup before beginning district play in Week 8.
6. Palo Duro (4-1)
Last week: No. 6; W, 48-6 at Wichita Falls Memorial
This week: vs Abilene Wylie (4-2)
The Dons opened District 3-5A Division II play with a 42-point victory on the road to continue the team’s four-game winning streak.
7. Dalhart (5-1)
Last week: No. 9; W, 59-0 vs Muleshoe
This week: at Denver City (2-4)
The Wolves have outscored their last two opponents 104-0 and are in the midst of a four-game win streak.
8. Randall (4-1)
Last week: No. 8; Open week
This week: vs Dumas (4-1)
The Raiders had an open week following Randall’s first loss of the season and will look to back on track in the team’s district opener against Dumas.
9. Tascosa (4-2)
Last week: No. 10; W, 69-7
This week: Open week
The Rebels have scored at least 65 points in each of the team’s last two contests.
10. Dumas (4-1)
Last week: NR; Open week
This week: at Randall (4-1)
The Demons’ have scored at least 35 points in all five contests this year and will meet Randall on the road to open district play on Thursday following an open date in Week 6.
Dropped out: No. 7 Amarillo High (4-2; L, 24-21 at Abilene High)
