All eastbound traffic was diverted off of I-10 just before Sunland Park Drive because of the debris spill on the freeway, the El Paso Police Department said in a news media message.

Drivers were advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays.

TxDOT crews equipped with a loader and dump trucks cleared the scene and by 11 a.m. the freeway was reopened.
