The Dispatch has live coverage of Ohio State vs. Purdue in Week 11 of the college football season.
Ohio State football began the week learning that it would be the top overall seed in the College Football Playoff if the season were to be finished this week.
The top-seeded Buckeyes now look to end the week with their ninth win of the season following a trip out to West Lafayette to take on Purdue.
Ohio State and Purdue will kick off at 1 p.m. ET at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana on Saturday, Nov. 8 — the first 1 p.m. ET kickoff of the season for the Buckeyes, a staple for the noon ET and Fox “Big Noon Saturday” window over the year.

Led by Heisman Trophy candidate Julian Sayin, the Buckeyes enter their Week 11 game with the longest winning streak among FBS programs at 12. It just hasn’t been Sayin’s strong individual play that has helped Ohio State seperate itself among other programs in the country this season, as it also has been because of their elite defense under Matt Patricia. The Buckeyes’ defense ranks No. 1 in the country in scoring defense at 6.9 points per game.
Purdue is 2-7 on the season and is sliding along a seven-game losing skid after starting the season with back-to-back wins against Ball State and Southern Illinois. The Boilermakers are led on offense by sophomore quarterback Ryan Browne, who has thrown for 1,822 yards and nine touchdowns this season.

Prediction (Joey Kauffman, Columbus Dispatch): Ohio State 45, Purdue 3
“While the Boilermakers are rebuilding under first-year coach Barry Odom and remain winless in the Big Ten, they have been more competitive this year. The average margin of their six conference losses is just 11 points, and three of the last four have been by one score or less. But a season-ending ankle injury to star running back Devin Mockobee only adds to the plate of Ryan Browne, who has thrown the second-most interceptions among Big Ten quarterbacks. It won’t be much different than last year’s game in Columbus, though Purdue can avoid being shut out.”
