July 5 game: Toledo 2, Columbus 1
Recap: The Mud Hens scored both of their runs in the ninth inning. Justyn-Henry Malloy doubled in Andhy Ibanez and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Brewer Hicklen. Both runs came off of Zak Kent (2-3). The Clippers’ run came on a home run by Milan Tolentino in the eighth inning. Columbus starter Parker Messick allowed only three hits in seven shutout innings. He struck out nine and walked one. Nic Enright pitched one shutout inning.
