Dock Rodreguez Andro Parker, 21, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with one count of murder Thursday in the death of Angel Salguero Diaz.

Diaz was found shot in an alley behind some homes on the 1300 block of East Hudson Street in North Linden on April 14 at about 10:15 p.m.

Police were investigating a ShotSpotter alert at about 8:35 p.m. that night in the area of Medina Avenue and East Hudson Street, but had been unable to find a victim or evidence of a shooting. ShotSpotter is a gunfire detection system.

Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Javion Jones, 20, of the Southeast Side, was arrested June 27 and charged with murder.

In court records, police said Jones was driving an SUV at the scene, and surveillance video from the area showed a muzzle blast coming from the vehicle. The surveillance video was consistent with the ShotSpotter alert, which recorded that the gunfire came from a source moving at about 15 mph.

Jones admitted to detectives that he was driving the SUV in the area, but said neither he nor anyone else in the car fired any shots, according to court records. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, one count of involuntary manslaughter, one count of felonious assault and one count of displaying or brandishing a firearm on or near premises where guns are prohibited.
