One person died and three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on July 5 at around 7:15 p.m.
Norton police and fire crews responded to a report of a crash on Route 21, near the Reimer Road overpass. According to the Norton police department, a Jeep Cherokee was traveling north on Route 21 in the left lane when it veered into the grass median. The Jeep struck a drainage culvert and overturned, landing in the southbound left lane of Route 21. The Jeep collided with a Kia Soul, which was traveling southbound in the right lane.
All three people in the Kia were injured, and the driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Summit Metro Crash Response Team was called to assist with the investigation, which is ongoing.
