A small bet led to a big win in Akron.
The Ohio Lottery says a 50-cent bet in the Pick 5 placed in Akron hit the jackpot on Aug. 6.
The winner with the correct numbers for the drawing − 4-1-3-1-2 − and won a $25,417 jackpot.
The winning ticket was sold at the Mini Mart in Kenmore Boulevard.
After state and federal taxes, the winning ticket is worth $18,300.24.
The state’s Pick 5 drawings are held twice a day.
