It’s the second week of the Ohio high school football postseason, and 15 Akron-area teams will be in action.
Included in this week’s schedule are intriguing Division II, Region 5 games between No. 5 Hudson (9-2) and No. 4 Lake (7-3) and No. 7 Nordonia (8-3) and No. 2 Walsh Jesuit (8-1). Also taking this field after first-round byes last week are No. 1 seeds Hoban (8-1) and Highland (10-0) and No. 2 seed Wadsworth (10-0).

2025 OHSAA football state championship games in Canton in December
Ohio high school football’s 10-game regular season leads up to the Ohio High School Athletic Association state playoffs at the end of October and into November — and ultimately, the OHSAA state championship games. The state finals are Dec. 4-6 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton — the fifth straight year all of the title games are being played there.
