Music from The Western Reserve presents the Capital University Chapel Choir from Columbus on March 29 at Christ Episcopal Church in Hudson.
Under the direction of Dr. Lynda R. Hasseler, the ensemble will perform a varied program spanning sacred and secular traditions. A highlight of the evening will be a performance of Sacred Place by composer Alex Berko. Known for their expressive power, precision, and dynamic presence, the Chapel Choir has earned national recognition as one of the finest collegiate choirs in the country.
The concert is sponsored by the family of Lola Rothmann, who founded this music series 43 years ago. The concert begins at 5 p.m. It will be preceded by a pre-concert talk at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by a reception and wine tasting in the fellowship hall of the church. Tickets are $30; students are free with a valid ID and members of any choir in Northeast Ohio will qualify for a 50% discount at time of purchase by indicating the name of their choir in the ticket checkout.
