Louisville Bats hit 4 home runs, hand Columbus Clippers 4th straight loss

July 8 game: Louisville 11, Columbus 6

Recap: The Bats hit four home runs while handing the Clippers their fourth consecutive loss. Homering for Louisville were Edward Rios, Levi Jordan, Davis Wendzel and Rece Hinds. Wendzel, who hit a grand slam, and Hinds had four RBIs each. Clippers Petey Halpin, Dom Nunez, Dayan Frias and Milan Tolentino each had two hits. Columbus starter Aaron Davenport (2-2) allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings. He struck out three and didn’t walk a batter.
