County Road 22 closing for work

COSHOCTON − Coshocton County Engineer’s Office has announced County Road 22 will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 16-17 for culvert replacements from County Road 401 to County Road 33.

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Community Band will present a concert of marches at 7 p.m. June 20. Attendees should bring a chair.

Boxing card on June 21

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Boxing Club is holding the Crowtown Throwdown June 21 at River View Intermediate School, 26546 Ohio 60, Warsaw. Doors open at 3 p.m., bell time 4 p.m. General admission $20, VIP tables $240. Call Tylar Keith 740-610-3726 for tickets.

Blood drive set

COSHOCTON − An American Red Cross blood drive is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 27, at Roscoe United Methodist Church, 475 High St. For registration, call 800-733-2767 or go to redcrossblood.org.

Foundation accepting scholarship applications

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Foundation will be accepting applications for its non-traditional student scholarships through 4 p.m. July 11. This includes the George Leach Memorial Scholarship for honorably discharged veterans or those on active duty, Ruby S. Hawthorne Memorial Adult Scholarship, Ruth Schooler Memorial Adult Scholarship for those going into the field of business or related area, and Beulah Brownfield Memorial Adult Scholarship. All are $1,000. Also being offered is the $2,000 Jones Metal Products Company Adult Legacy Scholarship for those attending the Coshocton campus of Central Ohio Technical College. The $1,000 two-year renewable Kenneth Berry Memorial Adult Scholarship was awarded in 2024 and won’t be given this year. For more information, go to coshoctonfoundation.org.

EPA awards recycling grants

COLUMBUS − The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency recently awarded Recycle Ohio Grants to 14 governments, businesses, schools and non-profit agencies in Southeast Ohio. This includes, $9,600 to Coshocton County Commissioners for tire amnesty events.

Quilt exhibit at JH Museum

COSHOCTON − Pushing the Surface contemporary art quilt exhibit is on display through Sept. 1 at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum, 300 N. Whitewoman St. Now in its 14th biennial installment, this show features work from nationally and internationally recognized artists. It’s curated by Elisa Deadman, Roxanna Deadman and Linda Fowler. It’s made possible through the support of the Mary F. Taylor Family Fund and the Ohio Arts Council. The museum is open from noon to 4 p.m. daily. United Way holding raffle for music fest

COSHOCTON − The United Way of Coshocton County is holding a raffle for four weekend wristbands and one camper spot for the Rock Coshocton Music and Motor Festival July 25-27 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $10 each and available from the United Way office or by calling 740-622-4567. The winner will be announced July 19, during the Our Town Coshocton summer concert on the court square.

OTC offering Hometown Perks program

COSHOCTON − Our Town Coshocton is offering the Hometown Perks program for local shopping through Sept. 1. Hometown Perks passports can be acquired at participating businesses and shoppers will get a sticker for each qualifying purchase they make at such a business. Participants can earn rewards and have a chance at a grand prize. Completed passports are to be turned in by Sept. 3 at the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce. Grand prize winner will be announced at the Sept. 7 summer concert on the court square.

● National Alliance on Mental Illness Family Support Group of Coshocton County will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 16, at AllWell, 710 Main St. The program will be Table Topics Featuring Peaks and Pits.

● Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities will meet at 4:30 p.m. June 18, in the conference room of Hopewell School, 23720 Airport Road.

● Coshocton County Board of Revision will meet at 10 a.m. June 20, in the Coshocton County Treasurer’s Office, 349 Main St., to hear complaints filed for tax year 2024.
