Frogman Festival coming to Greater Cincinnati. When, how to get tickets

Calling all fans of mythical creatures — one of Ohio’s most famous legends is getting its own festival this weekend.

The Frogman, one of the state’s many well-known cryptids, joins the likes of Bigfoot, Mothman and Bessie, Ohio’s Lake Erie monster legend. The upcoming Frogman Festival in Loveland, where attendees can browse vendors, hear from cryptid experts and celebrate the local legend, will help bring the myth to life.

What is the Frogman? Greater Cincinnati festival celebrates mythical Ohio creature

Organizers say the Frogman Festival celebrates the Loveland Frogman legend and explores other unusual stories rooted in the area. The event includes speakers, vendors, authors and special screenings.

Admission is $18.99 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased on the event website.

The Frogman, also called the Loveland Frog, is a 4-foot-tall, frog-like creature that has reportedly been spotted near the Little Miami River and Lake Isabella since 1955. The tale has since been adapted into a 2023 horror film of the same name.
