Five people were injured, including two children, when a Central Ohio Transit Authority bus and another vehicle collided early Sunday, Oct. 19, in the Olde Towne East neighborhood of Columbus’ Near East Side.
Columbus police dispatch said the crash happened just before 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Parsons Avenue and Bryden Road/East Town Street.
At least one person was transported by Columbus Fire medics in critical condition and another in serious condition to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, Downtown, police dispatch said. A third person was taken in stable condition.
The children were taken in stable condition to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Four of the injured, including the children, were in a vehicle that ended up in the bushes on the side of the brick exterior of Infectious Disease Consultants, Inc. at 685 Bryden Road.
The driver was the only person aboard COTA coach 1418, police said.
No further information about the crash was immediately available.
