The Browns have struck a deal in free agency. It’s one that likely means a franchise stalwarrt has played his final game in Cleveland.
Guard Zion Johnson has agreed to a three-year, $49.5 million deal, including $32.4 million guaranteed, with the Browns, a source confirmed for the Beacon Journal. The 26-year-old started every game last season for the Los Angeles Chargers at left guard, a sign that long-time Browns left guard Joel Bitonio may either be retiring or departing in free agency after 12 seasons with the team.

Johnson is 6-foot-3, 316 pounds and a 2022 first-round pick out of Boston College.
