Boston Mills and Brandywine ski resorts are still on ice waiting for the season to start.
Vail Resorts spokesperson Maria Wallenburg said there’s no firm opening date set yet for the sister ski resorts in northern Summit County.
But the recent string of chilly days with some snow mixed in has helped crews work to get the resorts ready for skiers.
Wallenburg said they were able to fire up the snow-making equipment around Thanksgiving to start building up a solid base of snow for the slopes.
“We do not have a firm opening date yet, but this weather is prime for snowmaking so we’re thinking positively that we’ll be able to confirm soon,” she said.
