Believe it or not, it apparently needs to be said: The Cincinnati Bengals won’t have an interest in a Maxx Crosby trade after the dramatic falling-out between the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens.
It was easy to miss as free agency ramped up, but the Bengals were reportedly sniffing around Crosby as a “latecomer” amongst teams that called the Raiders about a trade.

Crosby wound up traded to the Ravens, but Tuesday night, the deal was shockingly nixed.
The Bengals would especially not have an interest now. It was well known that Crosby had surgery and was in the middle of a recovery. But the fact Ravens doctors, and apparently Cowboys doctors, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, didn’t like what they saw is a big deal.
A trade cost of two first-round picks was never going to work for the Bengals. Tacking on these injury concerns doesn’t help.
The Bengals have instead moved forward with Boye Mafe as their big-money edge rusher (while Trey Hendrickson has a miserable market, unless the Ravens sneak their way into a deal there). They project to make more additions to the defensive line in free agency and the draft, but Crosby won’t be a consideration.
