The Cincinnati Bengals have traded for quarterback Joe Flacco after weeks of Jake Browning’s struggles.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the news.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bengals send a fifth-round pick to Cleveland in exchange for Flacco and a sixth-round pick.
Flacco, 40, played four games for the Cleveland Browns this year, completing 58.1 percent of his passes with two scores and six interceptions.
The Bengals waived Mike White from the practice squad before the trade, leaving Brett Rypien on the active roster behind Browning, for now. Cincinnati lost games by 48-10, 28-3 and 37-24 margins since Joe Burrow’s injury, with Browning throwing six touchdowns and eight interceptions in the process.
