Woman critically injured after being hit by vehicle in Penfield

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious accident involving a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle Saturday along Plank Road.

According to deputies, a 23-year-old male driver struck a 29-year-old woman who was walking alongside the road. The woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred near Plank Road between Jackson Road and Shoecraft Road in Penfield.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
