The Varsity 845 boys soccer players of the week polls are online for Sept. 29-Oct. 5. There will be voting in the large- and small-school divisions.
Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon. If your athletes’ names have not been appearing, it may be their games have been been reported.
Winners of each weekly contest will be ineligible for the ensuing two weeks: Ryan Monti of Goshen and Alex deCastro of Wallkill in large schools; Samuel Rein of Monticello and Mack Sycoff in small schools.
Last week, deCastro beat Matthew Webster of Pine Bush and Keegan Oxford of Kingston in large schools; Sycoff beat Joe Padula of O’Neill and Mason Tiano of Saugerties in small schools.
Go to RecordOnline.com/sports/high-school and vote as often as you like until Sunday, Oct. 12, at 11 p.m. The winners will be announced each week on the @Varsity845 account on X/Twitter.
