Rochester turned into a sea of green on Saturday to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The day kicked off at 9:30 on Parcel 5, where runners prepped for the 5-mile Runnin’ of the Green foot race. Participants showed off their green running along the Genesee River before finishing back at Parcel 5.

Then it was time for everyone’s favorite: the Tops St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Thousands of marchers, four bands from across New York State, six Irish dance schools, fire trucks and floats took over the streets of Downtown Rochester for the 49th annual parade.
Every year, the parade honors people and community organizations in Rochester. The 2026 honorees were:
