Ross Dress for Less is coming to Irondequoit Plaza, 525 Titus Ave.
A “coming soon” sign has been posted on the former Big Lots storefront, where interior remodeling appears to be underway.
The 27,000-square-foot space has been vacant since late 2024, when Big Lots announced mass closures as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring.
The California-based chain sells discounted apparel and home goods in a no-frills setting.
This will be the third Ross store in the Rochester market. The first here opened in 2023 in Westgate Plaza in Gates. The second opened in 2024 in Cobblestone Court Plaza across from Eastview Mall in Victor, Ontario County.
Ross has more than 1,700 locations in 43 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.
Dara E. Petralia, the listing agent for the plaza, has been told construction should be finished by June.
A representative for Ross did not immediately respond to a request for information about an opening date.
We will update this story if we hear back.
