The New York Giants were back at team facilities on Tuesday, preparing for a Week 6 meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. The short week has led to significant changes in their schedule, with no full practices scheduled until next week.
Instead, the Giants will lean more heavily on their daily meetings, simulations, and walkthroughs. It also means all injury reports are projected until designations are handed out on Wednesday.
Head coach Brian Daboll briefly met with reporters, providing some injury updates a day after offering nothing of substance.
“He’ll be okay,” Daboll said of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
The same could not be said for wide receiver Darius Slayton and offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor, whom Daboll said are at risk of missing Thursday night’s game.
“I’d say we’ll take it all the way up to the end like you usually do on short weeks. See where those guys are at, what they can do,” he added. “We’re going to give (Eluemunor) all the way until the end. But if he can’t go, he can’t go. And if he can, great.”
