Nets vs. Grizzlies betting preview: Prediction, point spread, odds

The Brooklyn Nets (16-47) have been having a rough time winning games since the calendar changed to January, but they recently earned themselves some praise with an improbable comeback win. Brooklyn now has the opportunity to extend their winning streak to two games with Monday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies (23-39) and if you’re wondering where you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place!

The Nets come into this game following a 107-105 win at the Detroit Pistons on Saturday in which Brooklyn came back from a 23-point deficit to beat a Pistons team missing All-Star guard Cade Cunningham. Forward Michael Porter Jr. had one of his better games of the season with 30 points and 13 rebounds while forward Ziaire Williams stepped up in a huge way off the bench with his 23 points and four rebounds.

The Grizzlies enter this matchup after a 123-120 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday in which Memphis led by as many as 19 points in the contest before choking that lead away by halftime. Guard Ty Jerome had 23 points and seven assists to lead the way for the Grizzlies while forward Taylor Hendricks had 18 points and four rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.

Advice and Prediction

The Nets had been struggling to win games since the calendar shifted to 2026, but Brooklyn put together one of its best efforts in Saturday’s win at the Pistons to come back from a 23-point deficit. The Nets are hoping to finish the season on a strong note and in order for that to happen, they will have to play just as hard as they did against Detroit on a nightly basis.

The Grizzlies have gone through plenty of changes this season as the team went from trying to compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference to pivoting towards the future by trading away forward Jaren Jackson Jr. Along the way, Memphis has once again dealt with some massive injuries to players like guard Ja Morant, but the season goes on.

The Nets and Grizzlies rank in the bottom half of the NBA in terms of offensive and defensive rating, but it’s the pace of play that separates these two rebuilding franchises. Brooklyn plays at one of the slowest paces in the league while Memphis is one of the fastest teams by the same metric so it seems that whoever can establish their style of play should have a good chance of winning this matchup.
