Sutton was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16 years of age, a felony.

An investigation began in January 2025 after the State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The investigation, conducted by the Troop F Computer Crimes Unit, the Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Highland barracks and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, led to the execution of a search warrant for electronic devices at Sutton’s former residence in the Town of Marlborough.

After his arrest, Sutton was released and issued a ticket to appear in the Town of Marlborough Court on a future date.

The name of Sutton’s attorney was not immediately available.
