Mid-Hudson women's lacrosse: Army wins fifth in row; Marist beats Iona

The 2026 college women’s lacrosse regular season for Mid-Hudson schools began on on the first full weekend of February and will conclude in May. Army and Marist play in NCAA Division I; and, SUNY New Paltz and Mount Saint Mary play in NCAA Division III.

The head coaches for our local teams are Michelle Tumolo (Army); Keith Detelj (Marist); Chris Biddle (New Paltz); and, Mike Lowell (Mount Saint Mary).

at Marist 14, Iona 8 (March 28): Marist (3-8, 2-1 MAAC) went up 10-3 by halftime. Jesse Manger (3), Kathryn Stalker (2), Anne Shine (2) and Kate Gaven (2) scored for the Red Foxes. Megan Morris stopped four of 12 shots.

at New Paltz 12, Fredonia 4 (March 28): Lexi Atwater (5), Katie Picarello (2) and Samantha Gemmo (2) scored for New Paltz (6-3, 2-0 SUNYAC), winners of three in a row. Gabriella Tommaso stopped six of seven shots in one half of play.

Mount Saint Mary 13, at Mount Saint Vincent 3 (March 28): Delisianna Naccarato (4), Shannon McGowan (3), Kasey Senior (3) and Danica Valente (2) scored for Mount Saint Mary (3-3, 2-0 Skyline), winners of two in a row. Peyton Curley stopped five of eight shots.

at Army 22, Lafayette 6 (March 27): Army went up 7-2 and 16-3 at the quarter breaks. Brigid Duffy (5), Allison Reilly (4), Geneva Milch Cesoni (4), Chloe Garrett (3) and Lila Valentini (2) scored for the Black Knights (8-2, 4-0 Patriot), winners of five in a row.

Mount Saint Mary 16, at Old Westbury 1 (March 26): Kasey Senior (5), Denisianna Naccarato (3), Shannon McGowan (2) and Antonia Licardi (2) scored for the Mount (2-3, 2-0 Skyline).

at Mount St. Mary’s, Md. 18, Marist 1 (March 25): Down 14-0 in the fourth quarter, Leigha Zaman had the lone goal for Marist (2-8, 1-1 MAAC).

Army 16, at Bucknell 7 March 21): Army (7-2, 3-0 Patriot) outscore the Bison 10-3 in the second half. Brigid Duffy (6), Allison Reilly (3) and Geneva Milch Cesoni (2) scored for the Black Knights. Lindsay Serafine stopped three of 10 shots.

at Marist 10, Rider 8 (March 21): Outscoring Rider 8-0 in the second half, Marist (3-8) snapped a seven-match losing streak. Katie Gaven (four goals) had the game-winner with 9:42 to play and final goal four minutes later. Anna Shine and Jesse Manger each scored twice for the Red Foxes (2-7, 1-0 Metro Atlantic). Megan Morris stopped seven of 15 shots.

at New Paltz 13, Canton 3 (March 21): Mia Baldinger (4), Lexi Atwater (3), Ava Padilla (2), Allison Beattie (2) and Helena Willis (2) each scored for New Paltz (5-3, 1-0 SUNYAC).

New Paltz 16, at Kean 5 (March 18): Lexi Atwater (4; six draw controls), Ava Padilla (3), Mia Baldinger (3) and Samantha DeLucca (2) scored for New Paltz (4-3).

at California 18, Marist 10 (March 16):

Ramapo 15, at Mount Saint Mary 6 (March 15): Shannon McGowan (2), Delisianna Naccarato (2) and Kaitlin Hansen (2) each scored twice for the Mount (1-3).

at Army 18, Loyola, Md. 10 (March 14): Army (6-2, 2-0 Patriot) seized a 7-1 first-quarter lead. Brigid Duffy (6), Sarah Wood (3), Ryan Remaley (3), Allison Reilly (3) and Chloe Garrett (2) scored. Lindsay Serafine stopped 10 of 20 shots.

Army 13, Florida State 7 (Feb. 21): In Atlanta. Army (3-1) seized 8-1 first-quarter lead. Chloe Garrett had three goals, Ryan Remaley, Allison Reilly and Lily Valentini two apiece; Reilly had eight assists. Lindsey Serafine stopped five of 12 shots. Army failed on only one of 17 clears, led groundballs 21-14 and draws 14-8 (Ellia Nawa had seven).

Vermont 14, at Marist 9 (Feb. 21): Anna Shine and Jesse Manger each had two goals and Kathryn Staker two assists for Marist (1-3). Megan Morris stopped 12 of 26 shots. Lyle Brown caused five turnovers and Caitlin McNaboe had five draw controls.

New Paltz 17, at Utica 7 (Feb. 21): Hawks (1-0) seized 10-3 halftime lead. Lexi Atwater had career-high seven goals (for second time vs. Utica), Morgan Atwater three and Katie Picarello two. Hawks led groundballs 21-16, 18-7 on draws and were good on all but two of 15 clears.

at Stockton 18, Mount Saint Mary 2 (Feb. 21): Stockton seized 12-0 lead by mid-second quarter. Delisianna Naccarato tallied twice. Starter Peyton Curley stopped 12 of 26 shots and Sophia Sandoval two of six. Knights (0-1) lost groundballs 28-10, had 31 turnovers and failed on seven of 26 clears.

at Boston Univ. 11, Marist 8 (Feb. 17): Marist took 5-0 first-quarter lead but BU answered with five of its own to start second. Amelia Pirozzi had four goals and Kathryn Staker three for Foxes (1-2). Megan Morris stopped 10 of 21 shots.

at Northwestern 18, Army 7 (Feb. 14): Army (2-1) fell behind 5-0 and gave up five goals to start second half. Brigid Duffy and Lily Valentini each had two goals. Lindsey Serafine had 10 stops on 28 shots.

at Army 23, Marist 7 (Feb. 10): Army (2-0) tied a team record with 23 goals. Lily Valentini had six goals, Allison Reilly five, Brigid Duffy four and Chloe Garrett and Rocky Phelps two apiece. For Marist, Kathryn Staker had three goals and Kate Gaven two. Marist failed on five clears. Army led groundballs 16-8.

Army 19, at Rutgers 14 (Feb. 6): Michelle Tumolo became first Army coach to post 50 career wins. Brigid Duffy and Lily Valentini each had five goals, Ryan Remaly four, Allison Reilly three and Thais Jackson two for Army, which outscored Rutgers 11-4 in the middle two quarters. Lindsay Serafine stopped six of 20 shots.

Marist 10, at Binghamton 6 (Feb. 6): Amelia Pirozzi scored four goals and Kate Gaven two for Marist (1-0). Megan Morris stopped 11 of 17 shots. Red Foxes missed on only one of 20 clears and led 21-13 in groundballs.
