The Mid-Hudson college men’s basketball season got underway on Monday, November 3, and will conclude in mid-March.

Duke 114, at Army 59 (Nov. 11): Army went down 49-30 by halftime. Jackson Furman scored 20 points off the bench. Army was outrebounded 48-27 and Duke tallied 26 points off 17 turnovers and won the paint battle 42-18. Army shot 31 percent, 12-for-49 from three and five of seven from the foul line.

Marist 75, at Dartmouth 56 (Nov. 9): Marist (1-1) used a 35-21 second half to pull away. Rhyjon Blackwell scored 16 points, Justin Menard 10 and Jaden Daughtry, Parby Kabamaba and Myles Parker each had eight for the Red Foxes, who shot 47 percent, 9-for-27 frpom three and 4-for-5 from the foul line. Menard and Blackwell each had seven boards and Menard added eight assists and had six of Marist’s 15 steals (Red Foxes scored 23 points off turnovers).
at Saint Thomas, Minn. 83, Army 76 (Nov. 8): Army trailed for all but in the first minute. Jorn Everson and Jacen Holloway each scored 16 points, Jackson Furman 15, Kevin McCarthy 14 and Ryan Curry 10 for the Black Knights (1-1), who shot 44 percent, 11-for-34 from three and 11-for-14 from the foul line. Tate Laczkowski had eight rebounds and Everson seven and Curry had seven assists. The Tommies outscored the Black Knights 50-28 in the paint.
Eastern Connecticut 92, New Paltz 79 (Nov. 8): Hawks (0-1) trailed 45-44 at half but never took the lead afterward. Isaiah Rivera scored 22 points, Mo Sylia 18 an LaMar Matthews and Trevor Amalfitano 15 apiece for the Hawks, who shot 39 pecent, 5-for-23 from three and 16-for-25 from the foul line. Rivera had nine rebounds and four assists. New Paltz scored 21 points off 21 ECU turnovers.
at Mount Saint Mary 71, Hunter 58 (Nov. 8): Justin Rivera scored 19 points, Brenden Graham nine and Matthew Walsh and Conor Gemmill eight apiece for the Knights (1-0), who shot 43 percent, 12-for-35 from three and 13-for-17 from the foul line. J.P. Egan had seven boards and Gemmill five, Graham had four assists and Walsh had four steals. The Knights scored 21 points off 11 turnovers.
at Sullivan 94, Bronx 70 (Nov. 8): David Fowler scored 27 points, Xavier Beckford 16, Sincere Henderson 15 and Thomas Hernandez 14 for Sullivan (2-1), who shot 41 percent, 3-for-17 from three and 29-for-47 from the foul line.
Orange 87, at Hudson Valley 72 (Nov. 6): Darren McFarlane posted 20 points and 10 rebounds; Marquese Dennis had 17 points; Keishawn Morris had 15 points and four steals; and, Gavin Williams had 15 points for the Colts (1-0), who led 44-32 at halftime.
at Army 73, SUNY Maritime 49 (Nov. 3): Army trailed for most of the first half, seizing a lead with five minutes left and outscoring the Privateers 50-26 the rest of the way. Kevin McCarthy scored 17, Jacen Holloway 13, Jorn Everson nine and Jackson Furman 17 off the bench for Army, which shot 39 percent, 11-for-41 from threee and 4-for-8 from the foul line. Tate Laxzkowski had nine rebounds. The Black Knights enjoyed a 34-14 scoring edge in the paint.
at Xavier 66, Marist 62 (Nov. 3): Marist (0-1) led through the opening 16 minutes only to have Xavier go on a 25-4 scoring run for a 40-20 lead. Down 59-47 with 6:41 to play, Marist stormed back with a 13-0 run to take a 60-59 lead with 3:22 left but the Red Foxes went cold, missing their final three shots. Rhyjon Blackwell scored 24 off the bench, Elijah Lewis had 15 and Jadin Collins-Roberts 11. The Red Foxes shot 48 percent, hit 3-of-10 from three and 17 of 25 from the foul line. Marist enjoyed a 28-16 edge in paint points.
Sullivan 92, at Hudson Valley 85 (Nov. 2): Nicholas Sanchez scored 21 points, Xavier Beckford 18, David Fowler 15 and Hassan Niang 12 for Sullivan (1-1), who shot 48 precent, 10-for-16 from three and 20-for-25 from the foul line. Sanchez had 14 boards.
Bor. of Manhattan 68, Sullivan 67 (Nov. 1): Taivon Wright scored18 points and Nicholas Sanchez and reserve Xavier Beckford 12 apiece for Sullivan (0-1). The Generals shot 51 percent, 4-for-12 from three and 9-for-14 from the foul line.
